I wasn't satisfied with how the car ran with the S-trim so, I decided to go turbo. Not only will there be no drag of a blower belt turning the blower but, the turbo will have an intercooler that can only help things! Here's what I have so far-

- Precision te-63 turbo

- Turbonetics Racegate

- Applied Technology Research Grand National interclooler

  4" inlet
The tape measure reads about 2-3/4"
2-1/2" id What the intercooler originally looked like!
We cut the elbows off and welded the straight section on! This is the materials needed to build headers!
  Drivers side half-built.
The turbo mocked for drilling access to the turbo outlet.   Kinda similar to a cartech setup.
Finally looking like a turbo kit!
Here's a pic of the crossover where it connects to the header! Another pic of the crossover to the header from a different angle! Here's the crossover from underneath the car.
It's hard to see but in between the primaries for cylinders 6 and 7 is the flange for the crossover pipe. If you look close you can see where the back of the front clip would interfere with the intercooler piping. This pic shows what part of the front clip would interfere with the intercooler piping!
I am planning on removing the two brackets for the front bumper support so, I can place the intercooler exactly where I want it! The intercooler mounted after removing mounts for the bumper support!

The intercooler piping before having the ends welded to help seal with the silicone connectors!
A better shot of the passenger header once it was all welded up. The view through the inner fender. Everything but, the brace for the turbo is done.
Same progress as the before picture but, from a different angle. The intercooler mounted with the pipes attached. Here's what things currently look like!
I am getting the headers, downpipe, and crossover ceramic coated so, I thought I would take some pics of the turbo header off of the car!   Here's all the pieces of the setup!

Here, is a picture of the opening just below the bumper, of the front clip. To provide clearance for the intercooler tubing on the passenger side, I had to cut one of the reinforcement bars and open the hole up a little bit! Making some progress. I have the oil feed and drain lines hooked up.
